You’ve probably heard the saying: “You can’t out exercise a bad diet.” Well, it’s true. Nutrition is the foundation of the fitness pyramid and our health. It helps regulate hormones, digestion, energy levels, and our overall mood. We need to be aware of everything that we are putting into our bodies and understand the purpose behind it. Are our food choices fueling us? Or hurting us? These are all important questions to ask yourself.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

Simply stated, our nutrition coaching services include the following:

Determine your baseline

We test body fat and take detailed measurements to determine your baseline. This allows us to create a customized plan for you based on where you are starting from.

Create your customized plan

We work with you to create a simple and sustainable plan to reach your goals. You can work with a coach in-person or virtually.

Track your progress

We provide you an App integrating with MyFitnessPal which allows your nutrition coach to continue to provide support beyond your in-person visits. We will help you track your progress and tweak your plan to ensure continued progress towards your goals.

Growing up I was lucky to never worry about my weight or health, I could eat whatever I wanted and it was very easy for me to lose weight if I gained any. Then BAM! 34 hit, it wasn’t as easy anymore & I started feeling sluggish. Since starting the nutrition coaching with CFE I’ve learned how to use food to fuel my body. I have more energy to keep up with my son and job, I am the strongest I’ve ever been and it’s helped me view nutrition as a part of self care. My sessions with Flavia are always fun. We discuss nutrition, stress management & fitness goals. There’s never a pressure to measure up against someone else and the level of flexibility and support make it enjoyable, if something isn't working we change it. For me it’s not about the numbers, rather a whole body approach to wellness but who knew you could look forward to stepping on a scale.

I have struggled with my weight and body image my whole adult life. After having two kids back to back, I really lost my identity. I fell into the mom role and did not take care of myself. Flavia and her nutrition coaching supported me in making small and achievable goals that I could introduce into my crazy schedule to be successful. I began my nutrition experience with the challenge and right away went into phase 1 during the holidays. Who does that? Starting new habits during the holidays seemed a bit crazy but, no better time than the present. After getting my baseline biometrics and meeting with Flavia we talked about a lot more than just nutrition and fitness goals. She genuinely showed interest in what was going on and what affected my nutrition choices. We came up with some short term goals and attainable habits that didn’t seem that hard. The consistent small changes over time really made the difference. Also, having a check in and tracking my food choices was a huge help to keep me focused. Within that first month I felt my energy levels increase, my constant heart burn went away and I was looking forward to meal prepping and trying new ways to cook and prepare vegetables. I followed the meal plan which really guided me on portion size and the types of foods for each of those portions. I learned that the small changes do make a difference and “we are what we eat”. At this point I feel like I am matching my nutrition with my fitness and really becoming an athlete who fuels properly. I think going forward I will need to force myself not to overdo it at the box, because I feel so much better now and thank CFE for the support guidance and commitment to helping us become healthier physically and nutritionally.
